A LOT to say
Ok it's been quite some time since I posted, but like I said, I was in academic peril then, with chem and bio tests on the same friday and maths test following next monday, and I had a fever a few days before it, caused by my vacation at tioman, so I was panicking about my tests, esp chem because I have been putting in hard work for it,even during my vacation. I have so much to say, so I will be posting my 2nd part post tmr or some time around there as well. My chem test was postponed to Monday though because of kind Mr Wong, so I studied more over the weekend, but the results came in last week and I still failed by like HALF A MARK. =.= I just feel so...and the test was easy! The Promos are coming soon, and here I am. Getting promoted is kind of...unsure for me now.
When life gets you down one too many times, you feel like your efforts are all in vain. Despite the amounts put in, the payback is far less. Then, we ask, where in the world does the meaning of trying lie? In the end, is it really resilience hanging on, or just plain futile stubborness?
That long national day weekend, we went for a vacation at tioman island in malaysia. Dad, brother and I did some snorkelling, which was wonderful! The clear waters and corals, plus the colourful fishes were so stunning! There were 4 different places that we went under the snorkelling package, via boat, and the 2nd and 4th one was deep sea snorkelling! I got a shock when not long after leaving our first stop, which was near the beautiful beach of some neighbouring island, the boat suddenly stopped in the middle of the sea. There were a few sea rocks somewhere nearby, but other than that, it was the middle of the sea. It was then that I learnt that we had to jump down and snorkel. I was a bit scared at first, but with the good life jacket, it turned out to be ok.
I saw the colourful schools of fishes under the water, just like those you see on documentaries. A smart lady brought some bread, so all the fishes started going to her. I went to her too, not because of the bread, but because I wanted to touch all those fishes. She was very nice to offer me some of her bread, so I took the bread and went off to find my dad and bro and split it with them. Then the fishes started coming to us. xD At our third stop, a BIG jellyfish appeared near the stairs leading to the jetty platform, which was where we were supposed to use to get out of the water. We had to avoid the great mass of jelly for a while, before it swam underneath the jetty platform. Our 4th stop! Again the lady with the bread gave me some, and as those fishes came to me, I tried to touch them and they sprinted(ok they have no legs but still) away from me super fast. But I managed to touch them a little-- it felt cold and smooth. Some of the fish also collided into my snorkelling goggle, the part where the area around my eyes was totally covered by clear plastic. It was so funny to see them swimming super fast away after colliding into my face, and also when I just waved my hand to disturb a school of fish passing by. The school of fish just split up and fled in all directions. xD

Our comfortable resort, where we lived in a big suite, because dad's the CEO. WAH big x)
After that trip though, besides getting a little darker, I also suffered from a throat infection and got a fever, which led to my missing of the first blocking(positioning) session for the teachers' day dance. My SECOND fever in just a space of ONE month. You can imagine how frustrated I was. Again, Mummy stayed at home and took care of me, so I returned to school after 2 days, with a face which everyone I saw said "sick". That day I returned, it was soo tiring, since the choreographer made us do the same thing over and over again, since somehow we just couldn't get it right. I swear, my heart was at maximum efficiency as I danced continuously again and again, comparable to the 2.4km run. Whoever says dance is nothing should experience this, because it will surely make them eat their words. Not only do we have to decipher the choreographer's words(like 'pull in' but where in the world is IN? Or 'Stand over there.' but where in the world is THERE? I found out only later that in meant the center of the stage, and for there, you just have to decipher it yourself there and then, since the formations are different) we also have to use our stamina and keep on going plus facial expressions need to be in place.
That following wednesday though, because of an unexpected windfall, Thamila treated me to a footlong at subway! I was soooo happy. THANK YOU!
Today was the teacher's day celebrations. But I shall keep that + the celebration of Mum's birthday at NUSS + the NATAS fair + the watching of final destination 4 today for part 2 and maybe part 3 of this blog post, so watch out for it! Enough of words for now! I just wanna BATH and take a nap.Now.
