A sick life
Oh goodness. The reason why I was not in school today while everyone was slugging it out in college was because I got the sickening combination of flu and fever, thanks to the 4E8 class bbq that we had on sunday on Sembawang Park. I am not saying it wasn't fun or anything, but it would have made me feel a lot better if I didn't get sick after standing in the on and off rain(sharing an umbrella with LD) for 4 hours at the bbq pit bbq-ing(we managed to bbq food still ok because we held umbrellas to shield the bbq pit), while the 20 plus others who did the same didn't get sick (not that I have heard of anybody sick other than me so far). It went on to the extent that I had to see a doctor yesterday morning, when my fever shot to a record high of 39.7 degrees, according to my thermometer, and all I was doing then was having an expression of absolute misery on my face, and it subsequently led to my taking MC for yesterday and today, even though there was no need for an MC yesterday because it was the Youth Day holiday in lieu, and I basically spent it taking medicine, then sleeping for hours at a stretch, before eating whatever I could, and sleeping again. How youthful. But I love my mother! Because she stayed home yesterday(I couldn't tell specially for me or she'd taken leave beforehand) and took care of me all day long while I was refusing to do anything else other than stay put on my spot on the living room sofa with a miserable expression and the Koolfever cooling plaster stuck to my forehead. Moved me to almost tears then. This is also why I think health is one of the most important things ever.
In a way, it was a good thing today was a short day, ending at 3.25pm(my first day ending earlier than 5.05pm on days other than Wednesday and Friday after like one whole term). I got wind that the results for section B of our biology papers were out, and it seems that the whole cohort failed YAY! and the highest I've heard so far is 19/60 for section B. As for me, I got a high single digit, along with quite a lot of people I guess. Well, at least I did my essay. Some 2 jokers sitting beside me during he exam wasn't rushing their Section C essays at all when I was and I was wondering why and I found out why when they handed up a piece of blank writing paper with only their names on it (LOL) when the teacher collected Section C. It seriously made me laugh then. No wonder they were doing their section B so relaxedly when I was rushing here and there, trying to save whatever marks I could. I'm going to school tmr, and it seems the GP results will be out O.O. Hopefully I will do well.
